Section 1 · Days 1–2

Yoshino → Misen

~40 km 2 days Very Hard

Begin at Kinpusen-ji temple in Yoshino and follow the ridge south through Takamitake and Zenki, camping near Misen (1,895m) — the highest peak on the route.

Section 2 · Days 3–4

Misen → Sanjodake → Zenki

~40 km 2 days Very Hard

Section 3 · Days 5–7

Tamaki-jinja → Hongu

~40 km 2 days Hard

Descend from the high ridge through the dense cedar forests of southern Yoshino to Hongu Taisha and the end of the traverse.
