Kurisugawa

栗栖川

The valley town below Takahara — and the practical base for the start of the Nakahechi. Unlike Takahara up on the ridge, Kurisugawa has an A-COOP supermarket, buses and accommodation. It sits off the trail itself, about a 40-minute walk down from Takahara.
