A quiet hamlet about an hour's walk past Chikatsuyu, home to the historic Tsugizakura-oji and the ancient Nonaka cedars — a traditional rest stop for pilgrims for centuries. There is almost nowhere to shop and very little lodging, so resupply in Chikatsuyu and book ahead.
